Brownie Balls
Ingredients
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup dates medjool are best
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup nut butter
- 1/4 cup cacao powder (or almond flour for cookie dough flavor)
- 1 serving protein powder
- ~1/4 cup milk of choice
- Pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For chocolate coating:
- 1/3 chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate bar)
- 1/2 tsp coconut oil
- flakey salt
Instructions
- Soak dates in hot water for at least 30 minutes, until softened. Add to a food processor or blender with milk and maple syrup. Blend until smooth.
- Add the rest of ingredients (except the chocolate coating ingredients) to the food processor or blender. Blend until a thick dough-like consistency forms.
- Roll into balls. Put on a parchment lined tray and put in the freezer for a few minutes while melting the chocolate.
- Melt chocolate chips (or bar) in the microwave, using 30 second increments and stirring in between.
- Take the brownie balls out of the freezer and coat each ball with the melted chocolate. Top each one with flakey salt before the chocolate completely hardens.
- Store covered in the fridge or freezer.
