We train and eat to LIVE OUR BEST LIVES

Hi! My story into health and fitness really starts when I was young. Growing up in London and then moving to NY at 9 years old, I never really felt like I fit in. I have always been an introvert and have ADD which led me to struggle in school. In my teens I would read the fitness and muscle and health magazines every week as well as nutrition books in my free time.
After losing my dad I went through a rough time with depression. I learned early on that the foods I ate played a big part in how I felt. When I was exercising and eating good was when I felt alive and like I could be myself. At 25 I got married and had kids. I prioritized making home cooked meals and exercising with my kids, getting them involved in all the sports.
I started teaching kickboxing and bootcamp and got my black belt in karate, where I went on to teach and compete. On the outside it looked like I had it all together, but I didn’t. I would restrict calories all week and then binge eat on the weekends. I wasn’t aligned with what I was teaching and it didn’t feel good. Week after week I continued to feel like a fraud which is a quality I never wanted and didn’t want around my kids. I wanted to be the example they looked up to and were proud of.
I went back to school for exercise science and graduated from the fitness specialist program, where I took classes on nutrition and fitness. I got my ACE personal training certification, my FMS injury prevention certification and I started training clients 1 on 1. That’s when I learned about counting calories and macros and that fueling your body and lifting for strength is where it’s at. I want everyone to know that you can live a life that you are happy with and feel good about. You can reach goals and be strong. You can be the example for your kids. I want to teach everyone this lifestyle that saved me. And continues to save me. It’s not as hard as everyone thinks. My job now is to give back and help others to feel good and be the example their kids need to see.
I went through a divorce which was the worst time in my life. It almost broke me. The only thing that kept me going was my kids and the thing that helped me was training and nutrition. It allowed me to not self sabotage in the worst moments in my life which is what I would have in the past. Training has taught me so many things. Discipline is huge and carries over in all aspects of life. It teaches you self awareness, self control and reaching goals. You can’t reach long term goals without discipline. You can’t wait for motivation. I’m rarely motivated, but I’m super disciplined. And that’s changed everything for me.

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and daughter
Hey! Growing up, my family always had a very balanced approach to food. We often ate home cooked meals filled with nutritious foods. However, we did have pizza and icecream on the weekends and never restricted ourselves. When I turned 17, I started to become interested in diving into my health by eating mostly whole foods as well as switching up the products I was using to more natural options. After dealing with severe stomach pains and developing SIBO, as well as dealing with a herniated disc causing on and off debilitating back pain, I was forced to reevaluate my lifestyle and dig deeper into nutrition, functional movement and developing healthy habits that made me feel better but that were also sustainable for the long term.
Some facts about me…I’m an animal lover and worked/lived on a farm sanctuary for a few years. I love to travel and went on a cross country roadtrip a few years ago living out of my Jeep. I play guitar (not very well) and love music (especially pop punk).
